Phases of the Program

How Does the Isagenix Program Actually Work?

The Isagenix Program uses different phases, based on your goals and current health condition.  In the Weight Loss Phase, you follow either a 9-day or 30-day program, repeating them until you reach your weight loss goal.  While it is always recommended you work with your doctor to decide which program you follow, most people start with the 9-day program for a more accelerated jump start to their goal.  (Those who are elderly or have special health issues usually choose to start with the 30-day.)  After that initial cycle, you can choose to repeat the 9-day cycle -- up to three in a row -- or transition to a 30-day cycle.

The beauty of using Isagenix is that you have complete flexibility and can take each phase on in 'bite-size' pieces as you learn how to transition your lifestlye to a healthier one.  That means you can stay in Weight Loss mode for while, then shift to Maintenance for a time if you want to just coast or are going on vacation.  When you're ready to lose more weight, go back into the Weight Loss Phase with the 9-day and 30-day programs.  If you want to reach your weight goals quickly, stay in the Weight Loss Phase until you are ready to stay in the Maintenance Phase permanently. 

What are the Main Differences Between the 9-Day and 30-Day Programs?

Two major elements of the Isagenix system are the IsaLean shake and the Cleanse for Life drink.  The shake has an organic whey protein base that is loaded with only all-natural ingredients to give your body everything it needs nutritionally, to help your body absorb those nutrients more efficiently, and to help your body speed up its natural metabolism and fat burning modes.  The drink is used on Cleanse Days.  It, too, is loaded with only all-natural nutrients, herbal supplements and enzymes to help your body speed up and more efficiently go through its natural detoxification process.  

In the 9-Day Weight Loss Program, you drink a shake for breakfast and dinner for 5 days each week and drink the Cleanse for Life drink 2 days in a row at the beginning and end of the program.  In the 30-Day Weight Loss Program, you drink a shake for breakfast and dinner for 6 days each week and only drink the Cleanse for Life drink 1 day at a time.  

What are the Main Differences Between the Weight Loss and Maintenance Phases?

In the Maintenance Phase of the program, you are doing exactly that, maintaining.  Remember, this is a health program, so the goal is get healthy and then stay that way.  To follow this phase of the system, rather than the two shakes each day from the Weight Loss Phase, you simply drink an IsaLean shake for breakfast only and then eat sensibly the rest of the day.  This gives your body everything it needs nutritionally for the day, and helps you absorb those nutrients efficiently, so you aren't 'chasing' nutrition with roller coaster cravings all day.  And, it gives you complete freedom and flexibility to live your life!

In Maintenance, you also do an occassional Cleanse Day to make sure you keep any toxins from building back up in your system.  Remember, those accumulated toxins trigger your body to form a layer of fat in which to store those toxins safely.  The frequency of your Cleanse Days in Maintenance mode is based on your lifestyle and your preference.  Keeping in mind you are always getting exposed to toxins in processed foods, air and water pollution, etc., you can choose to do a Cleanse Day once a week, once every other week, once a month, once every three months, and so on.  The choice is yours.

There are, however, two very important concepts that underly both the Weight Loss and Maintenance Phases -- frequent snacks and water!  Be sure to use either the Isagenix Snacks or healthy snacks of your own in between meals to keep your metabolism up and your blood sugar stable.  And be sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day to stay fully hydrated and help your body flush out fat and impurities as efficiently as possible.

What Do You Really Do On a 9-Day Program?

To really get an idea of what is involved with the Weight Loss side of the program, here is a day-by-day schedule of what to do when. 

Please keep in mind, this is for the INITIAL 9-day program only and is the most accelerated/disciplined of all!  The idea is that for a week-and-a-half, you are disciplined and purifying your body.  After that, depending on your goals/schedule/determination, you can either repeat this cycle (minus the Pre-Cleanse Days), transition to the 30-day program (follows a less disciplined schedule) OR move into the Maintenance program (only a shake for breakfast and sensible eating the rest of the day).

·   Shake for breakfast and an accelerator capsule  

·   Light snack or two of your own choosing mid morning, preferably with protein 

·   Healthy 600 calorie lunch and an accelerator capsule  

·   Light snack or two of your own choosing mid afternoon, preferably with protein  

·   Shake for dinner  

 

 

 

 

Cleanse Day 1

 

 

 

·   Half a cup (8 capfuls) of the IsaCleanse Drink and a glass of water (together or separately)

      at breakfast time and an accelerator capsule

Decision Day

   

 

At this point, decide what you want to do after this 9-day program is completed: repeat the 9-day, switch to a 30-day program (only 1 cleanse day each week), or go onto maintenance (only a shake for breakfast and whatever you want to eat the rest of the day).  It all depends on how quickly you want to meet your weight loss goal, your schedule, and if you want to stay in the more disciplined mode of a 9-day program.  Allow yourself three business days shipping time to get your supplies in and to stay on track.
